Julien Babot - Guitar
I grew up listening to classical and contemporary music such as Ennio Morricone and later Supertramp, Pink Floyd, DireStraits...and I quickly got the urge to reproduce the melodies on piano, organ, Jew's harp or Irish flute... Early on, I bought my first cassettes of Scorpions, ACDC and Maiden. As the 90s arrived, it was mainly ColdWave with The Cure and Joy Division that got me into guitar, but also the connection between Gothic and French via Mylène Farmer (big fan :) )! It was then that I discovered some of the Guitar Heroes who influenced my playing and my ear: Hendrix, Slash, Malmsteen... When I was in my twenties, I had a few successive experiences in rock bands, either as a cover musician or as a compo player, but without much follow-through. After many years of playing solo at home and immersing myself in different types of Metal (Mass, Eths, Watcha, ParadiseLost), I took part in the formation of Gonezilla right from the start, along with Clément. Since then, we've tried to maintain the group's independent spirit and musical signature, with the various members past and present.
Clement Fau - Bass
I got into music late, even though I grew up in a household where my father played acoustic guitar and listened to a lot of rock music (Pink Floyd, the Beatles; ZZ Top, the Pogues). As a teenager, I also heard my brother playing Metallica and the like in the room next door. The first "hard" music group I got into was Rage Against The Machine, then I shifted into metal with the discovery of Iron Maiden and delving into Metallica's discography. This made me want to pick up the bass so I could jam with Florent, my colleague at the time, whom I would later join in what would become GoneZilla. It was then the fairly typical journey of a "metalhead" with the discovery of more extreme music: Death Metal, Doom Metal, then Black Metal, before circling back to the classics of Heavy Metal. Cult bands: Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, Paradise Lost, Katatonia Musical influences: Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Jimmy Bain, Bob Daisley, Steve di Giorgio.
Eric Tabourier - Drums
I began to play in rock band at university, before turning to metal. In 1996, I joined my first true band, Penumbra, with wich I recorded a demo. Then I get interested in old school black metal, in the style of Darkthrone. In 1998, I joined Temple of Baal, and then Nydvind in 2000, a pagan black metal metal I'm still playing with. So I had the opportunity to play in some places like «Le Gibus», «Club Dunois», «La machine du Moulin Rouge» to name the most famous ones. I joined Octavus Lupus in the end of 2014. We can consider this choice like a return to roots but I listen to all styles of music, more récently, stoner, post-metal and sludge. My main influences are Kylesa, Red Fang, Monster Magnet, Ghost Brigade, Killbody Tuning, Isis, Morne, Baroness.

I grew up lulled with classical music, french song and britannic rock. As a child, I attended to my sister's violin lesson and auditions in the local conservatoire. At 8, I felt in love with Cello's sound and learned to play it until I was 12. At the same time, I have always been singing. That helped me to calm my anxiety and rebalance myself. Arrived at the university I joined my first music group with two guitarists. We played mainly some Nirvana's and Metallica's cover. That's also at that time that I begun to play bass. In the following years, I joined two others covers bands, before discovering Symphonic Metal with Nightwish and Epica. So I completely reworked my voice with classical technique, before being able to participate to the foundation of Octavus Lupus. At the end of 2020, Julien asked me to join Gonezilla, and I immediately fell in love with the group's musical atmosphere.
